info Myitkyina (မြစ်ကြီးနား) is the Capital city of Kachin State. The town is situated in a flat valley that becomes extremely hot in the hot season and very rainy during the monsoon. There is an abundance of fruit in this state.

info Mount Khakaborazi (ခါကာဘိုရာဇီ) is Southeast Asia's highest mountain, located in the northern Myanmar state of Kachin. The elevation of this mountain is 5,881 metres (19,294 feet). It has extended from the range of Himalaya. The coordinates are 28°19'59"N, 97°28'00"E. The peak is enclosed within Khakaborazi National Park.

info Putao (ပူတာအို) is a town far north of the Kachin State. Putao is close to the Hkakaborazi Mountain, the highest mountain in Myanmar. Hkakaborazi means snowcapped year round. It is 5,889 meters high.

info Hpa Kant (ဖားကန့်) is a town in Kachin State, located in the northernmost part of the Myanmar. Situated 637ft (194m) above sea level and on the U Yu River 350 km north of Mandalay.

info Indawgyi Lake (အင်းတော်ကြီး သဘာဝရေအိုင်) is located in Moenyin Township, Kachin State, Myanmar. Indawgyi Lake is the largest inland lake not only in Myanmar but also in Southeast Asia. The measurement of the lake is 8 miles across from east to west and 15 miles from north to south. The main dominant ethnic groups dwelling around the lake are Kachin and Shan.

info Situated in Myitkyina, Kachin State, the Kachin State Cultural Museum (ကချင်ပြည်နယ် ယဉ်ကျေးမှုပြတိုက်) was opened in 1994. It display historical photographs, antiques, silverwares and handicrafts of various indigenous national groups of Kachin State.
